HIDDEN VIOLENCE IN TORONTO

The Victims. The Violence. The Truth.
The Solution.

Toronto Cow Save

Toronto Cow Save is a network of compassionate local and Toronto area residents who hold peaceful vigils at the slaughterhouse, in the Stockyards District, to bear witness to the cows and lambs who are forced into the place of violence and to bring public awareness to their suffering. We invite everyone to join us to bear witness, be vegan and get active to help. Read more

Fundraiser

Toronto Cow Save holds peaceful vigils at St. Helen's slaughterhouse to bear witness to the animal victims, to bring public awareness to their suffering, and to create positive change.

We encourage everyone to come, bear witness, and then take action for animals.

In order to do this work effectively, we need to purchase thousands of leaflets annually, replace and upgrade placards and banners, annual website renewal fees, and other outreach materials and costs.

We need your help! Visit our Support page for more details.

The Stockyards District

If you're familiar with the St. Clair Avenue at Keele Street area in Toronto, often dubbed as "the Stockyards District," you may have observed a frequent influx of transport trucks passing through with open slats on their sides.

Have you wondered what you might see inside those transport trucks?

As you approach these trucks, you'll encounter numerous pairs of fearful eyes staring back at you. Within these confines are mothers, sons, daughters, and friends – sentient beings with the capacity to suffer just like us. They are intentionally concealed victims en route to what can be described as one of the most violent places on Earth: the slaughterhouse.

Hidden victims. Hidden violence.
What you can do.

Directly behind the trendy Stockyards Village shopping complex in Toronto, Ontario, you might be shocked to learn that a real-life horror movie is playing out for animals each day.

Join us to bear witness and learn what you can do to help them.
